Art Director/ Creative Director. Shoe junky. Technology lover. Incredible husband. Big time runner.
I have been working within Broadcast Design and Experiential Design for over 11 years. I was always involved in art early in my life; constantly drawing or sketching abstract ideas or realistic photos. I took art classes starting at a young age and continued through high school. I had an amazing college professor named Ed Valentine that really helped guide me on my artistic journey and pushed me towards art as a career path. I attended the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated with a fine art degree with a focus on time based media studies. I was heavily involved in glass blowing and metal sculpture upon graduation and was moving in that direction for 2 years upon receiving my diploma.
Ultimately I decided to get back in to Time Based Media and got a job working with Maya, and After Effects at a small studio in Columbus, Ohio. From there I moved on to a larger production studio for about 4 years. Eventually I wanted more out of my design career and took the leap to NYC. My work exploded and I became a better designer from the simple fact that I was working around so many talented artists. I worked at a variety of studios including but not limited to: Perception, Loyal Kaspar, Trollback, Framestore, Smoke & Mirrors and many others.
Recently my wife and I decided to make a big change together and were are currently living in Los Angeles where I am a freelance Art Director and Motion Designer.
I strive for greatness in my work and I work hard to be a part of the best. I'm always interested in trying fresh new designs and thinking of new ways to convey cutting edge ideas.
